Round dance - dance levels in the club.

Of course, we are all equal and highly tolerant in our club, but we are also different in terms of our dance abilities and ambitions. However, everyone is important and finds their place in both the club and the dance level that suits them best 🙂

Beginners

  • They focus on teaching round dance from the beginning.
  • They learn basic rhythms, dance positions, orientation on the dance floor, how to respond to the cues from the cuer, and how to move to the rhythm.
  • They only learn the very basic necessary dance technique.
  • They are welcome to selected club activities.
  • At the end of the (school) year, they are accepted as members of the club, hooray!

Intermediate dancers

  • They continue with their education and dance figures of phases III-IV.
  • They are already able to handle simpler dance choreographies.
  • Just basic dance technique.
  • They mostly dance only in Karolína = they don't attend many other dance events.

Advanced dancers

  • They have mastered the basic dance technique.
  • They are learning additional dance rhythms and are dancing figures around phase IV.
  • They sporadically participate in dance events outside the club.
  • They can already dance well with their dance repertoire at regular round dance events.
  • They can now dance to recordings as well (they don't need a cue present).

Maniacs

  • They have mastered the basic technique of the dance.
  • They are interested in advanced dance technique and strive to improve their styling.
  • More difficult dance figures and rhythms are added, which require proper technical execution.
  • They dance figures of phases IV - VI.
  • They are attending workshops for the most difficult dances.
  • They can learn a lot on their own at home (from paper, from video).
